Painting on silk has consumed the past 40 years with joy for the most part. Surviving as an artist has required creativity not only in my art but in finding the venues through which to sell my creations. The Studio Discovery Tour gives me the ability to share my studio and my process in the midst of our magical landscape in the redwoods.
Come wander through the glass sculptures, over 50 of them, and enjoy learning about the basics of silk painting. Looking forward!
Directions to Studio #26 at 25215 Ten Mile Rd., Pt. Arena:
From Gualala: From Hwy 1, turn east on Old Stage Rd., which turns into Iversen Rd. In approx. 8 miles, turn right onto Ten Mile Cutoff Rd, then go 4.5 miles and turn right on the dirt road, then turn into the first driveway on the left down the hill.
Alternatively, from Hwy 1, take Fish Rock Rd., turn left on Iversen, proceed as above.
From Point Arena: Take Riverside which becomes Eureka Hill Rd. which becomes Ten Mile Cutoff Rd. in 3 miles. Turn left 1 mile down Ten Mile Rd.
