Color Photography
Semi-abstract color images of ordinary objects, with enough mystery to make you wonder what it is, then have an "aha" moment when you get it!

Directions to Studio #15 at 39150 S. Hwy 1, #4, Gualala: on Hwy 1, located in the Forte Gualala building on west side of highway in downtown Gualala (just north of Surf Motel and south of the Seacliff Center).
I’ve been creating photographic images for more than fifty years. It started with a fiancé (one of several) who gave me a camera just for fun, to see what I’d do with it. Thus began a lifetime pursuit of beauty: hot air balloons in New Mexico, a trek to Everest base camp, Beijing’s Forbidden City, my backyard, my kitchen. I love color, diagonals and rich patterns. Using ordinary objects, I like to move in close, abstracting a piece of reality by grabbing a corner or changing the angle of view. Some of the shots are more straightforward than others and some are downright weird until you discover the referent. I want you to wonder, to ponder, and have that “Aha!” moment when recognition strikes and you “get it."
