My studio is a media-palooza of video, print and paper making, book arts, fiber, laser and microphotography all in conversation. I love materials and processes and enjoy using new technologies to rethink older tools and techniques. Most recently I’ve been exploring 19th century letterpress alongside laser etched printing plates. Topically, I’m fascinated by the evolution of life and am currently focused on the flora and fauna of the Sonoma coast. I’ve been a professor of Experimental Media in Stanford’s Department of Art & Art History for the past twenty years.
