It is with deep gratitude that I join the tour this year and be part of an illustrious group of artists here on the north coast. I have been graced, and worked tirelessly, to live in artistic communities from Jackson Hole to Laguna Beach during the last 40 years of surviving as a fiber artist. It swells my heart to be part of a tour that encourages artists to show their work to the public, one of the greatest barriers facing emerging artists.
Inspirations come from all directions; this year I’ve begun painting Ginkgo leaves, as they represent transformation, hope, and peace. The fire horses have been galloping through my studio on their way to raising funds to help people resist ICE as fire melts ice!
My art is my advocacy in this world, giving me a peaceful way to fight for what I believe in.
I will be showing with Jane Casner-Mothersill at her beautiful Sea Ranch studio this year for a change of scenery. My studio remains open year round by appointment.
