Organic, Modern, Sculptural

Based in Sea Ranch, California, I create hand-formed porcelain and stoneware ceramics from my home studio. With a background in art studies and experience in merchandising and product design, I bring together a sensitivity to form and function and a keen interest in the materiality of clay.  I feel fortunate to draw inspiration from the textures, patterns, and forms in the nature that surrounds me—allowing them to inspire my creative process.

Each piece I make is a quiet exploration, emphasizing organic forms, tactile surfaces, and the interplay of contrast. I embrace the imperfections found in both the natural world and the work itself, often leaving surfaces unglazed to highlight the raw beauty of the material. The process of shaping, smoothing, and carving evokes for me the slow, powerful forces of erosion and weathering—echoing nature’s rhythms. Through this dialogue with clay, I hope to remind the viewer of the fleeting, yet enduring beauty of the world around us.
