Judith Ann Fisher

Collage

I have collected papers for many years, with the intention of creating collages - antique papers, wallpaper, children's book illustrations - with particular themes: the four elements, no more war, collages that illustrate chapters from my book - Bookbinder's Daughter.

Collage—A world of visual opportunity waited for me to collect and cut, arrange and paste. Images, photographs, colors and textures; History re-visioned, climate changes witnessed…expressed in my new artistic form.  Collage!

Bits of paper coming together to surprise and satisfy the Artist in me.

As a young child, I dreamed of this ‘career’ path—Drew flower gardens with crayons and snipped paper snowflakes. My longing for Art helped me forge my way and fulfill my dreams: Weaver, jeweler, photographer; Author (Bookbinder’s Daughter, a Life Lost and Found), interior and building designer (designed our home). I love and embrace it all, blessed with the chance to live my life as an Artist.
